Savard receives extension

Blackhawks coach Denis Savard received a contract extension through the 2008-09 season. I think he deserves all his and this must be a one more feather to his cap. Here is an extract from a magazine which i read about his contract renewal:
General manager Dale Tallon was impressed and added that Savard -- a Hall of Fame player who spent much of his career with the Blackhawks -- will "put his heart and soul into coaching this team.''

Yes, i too think that he deserves all this as i just have to say that he is a great legend as far as hockey is concenered........

Yes i also think that this coach deserves this, as he is one of the best coach in the world if we see in all the games.

If it works, you must as well keep doing it. I guess management thinks that it has been working. They are only mildly better than they have been in the past though, so I would probably have to disagree that he deserves the contract extension.

He can thank Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews. They are going to be the next big things. I mean, Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin or Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg big. They have a great future and will totally revive the Chicago Blackhawks.

I think he does deserve it as he has done a lot and will continue to do so.
