Maybe the Yankees got to C.C. last season in the American League Playoffs, because it seems that ever since the round with New York, C.C. has been hit on as often as a topless woman on the beach. Thankfully, today he allowed only one run, a homerun early in the game. But the Indians offense just never got going, as they were held for seven innings by Chien-Ming Wang, and scoreless for the game. So now perhaps C.C. is back on track, but it doesn't excuse the Cy Young winner from a dismal performance against Boston for the World Series rights -- nor does it excuse him from a horrendous start so far this year.

Too much, I fear. Experts predicted he'd match or better his performance of 19 wins last season, (or was it 20), and he's 0-4. He'd have to win 80% of the rest of his games to get a shot. And I'm telling you, as long as C.C. is down, this whole team is down. Offense has been very erratic and inconsistent too. I think the 5-game streak was a fluke. :D
