Anyone's thoughts as to why the East is so much worse than the West? It has been this way for years and I wonder what it will take for the East to finally get this monkey off of its back?

I couldn’t agree with you on that because some of the top teams on the NBA come from the East. Do you think that being little would make you less of a man than those who are taller than you? What makes you think that the East sucks?

if we consider all the areas then nobody can say that east is worse. If its worse in some field then it has also some top teams in another arena.

Money? Seems like the West is a lot more financially affluent than the east side of the country, in my opinion. More money allows better players, and draft picks, better venues and better attendance. :D

East is not terrible..Maybe we can say that the West had the most superstars but Celtics, Orlando and Detroit are a team to beat..

Fan following of the western teams is much higher and that is the reason why it just seems that way but as of now even the east has great teams like Boston and Detroit.

As I recall the East has the got the champion ship many times before. This means that the East is as good as the West. Maybe they are bigger but it doesn’t mean that they are better. How could you make a statement such as that?

The East used to be the titans of the basketball world, come to think of it. Look at Boston in the 70s, or Chicago in the 90s, or the Knicks in the 60s. I just think lately the West has had the better players come out of the colleges. Doesn't the East usually beat the West in the All-star game?
