I still think that Shaq is the best center for this season. We all know that Yao Ming is the biggest center on the NBA but, I think that Shaq is faster compared to him. Shaq can guard him anytime and still shoot on those baskets.

We already started a post like this considering the worthwhileness of Shaq. He is still Shaq, I realize, but also Shaq is slow and lumbering. He is a shadow of his former self. A better choice may have been Tim Duncan or maybe Dwight Howard the NBA's leader in rebounding who also has the highest totals in points per game for a center.

This is not a thread for Shaq. This discussion is for the best center on the NBA. I used his name because for me is the best center. If you have other best center in mind then you are welcome to say it here.

I don't know if I agree with that assessment. Maybe in terms of domination they are close to the same, but not in terms of style. They are not all that similar. Shaq is a league all of his own in terms of style.

I always thought of Duncan a as Power forward. I never known him as center. As I remember this is the reason why they keep getting some other center who could guard the board.

hi ther, i dont think that shaq is slow at all so, i feel that he should be the center for this season.I dont feel that duncan is a good choice.

I’m glad that we share the same opinion. Shaq is also my choice because he could guard anyone in the board even taller than him. Duncan is not a real center; he is just a power forward. I don’t know why everybody keeps on stating that he is a good center.

My vote is also for Shaq,he is too good as captain.From his background we can judge his game.LA and Miami heat won the playoffs under his captaincy.His dunks and alley oop are quite significant for any team to win.His stout body favors him in the game.:cool: :cool:

i will too go for shaq.I think he is the strongest contender for the center.Yao ming is also brilliant but shaq is much quicker.

Yao Ming may be taller than Shaq but I’m sure that the latter can take him anytime. As I remember Shaq always bring some fire power wherever he goes. I doubt that Yao Ming could match him.
