"Daffy Duck" Chris Pronger got an 8 game suspension for stomping on the leg of Vancouver center Ryan Kesler.

Do you think 8 games is too harsh, not harsh enough or just right?

Yes what i think this is harsh as we should not do this type of thing to any player because excess of everything is bad, it can spoil sportsman form.

No not at all if it was intentional and it certainly appeared to be. Big difference between regular physical contact and intent to do harm. I think the punishment was about right. 8 game suspension is enough to teach a lesson here and not too harsh at all. Just one mans opinion. :D

I think it should possibly be longer. He meant to do it. He meant to cause physical harm. The NHL should show that they will not tolerate such prolific violence.

I didn't see the play but if it was intentional an 8 game suspension is fair. If the league didn't suspend him then they are allowing for unsportsman like conduct.

I absolutely agree with this. In no way do I think eight games was too harsh of a punishment. In fact, I think it should have been longer. Totally stupid move by Pronger.

Shame, Chris Pronger can't stay out of trouble. He's one of the best defensemen in the game, but he has the attitude that will get him kicked out of the league if he's not careful. I'm not saying be in the running for the Lady Byng every year, but don't do stupid **** like this.

Its hard to judge a decision like that, I mean if you do something like that you need to be disciplined but a player like that is a huge asset to the team.
