Not that I necessarily disagree, but why do you say that?

kobe wanted the lakers to trade him.... because he felt they needed more talent. he was wrong. he insulted his teammates.

Well, he may have insulted his teammates, but that doesn't make him wrong. I think he was right; before the Gasol trade, you could make a good case that LA was wasting some of his prime years by not giving him enough of a supporting cast.

Again, that's not to say it's okay for players to say these sorts of things, but whether he was wrong to say it as a teammate, and whether or not he was literally wrong are two different things.

It's a tough situation either way. The same competitive fire that caused Kobe to slight his teammates is the kind of competitive fire teams usually want to see in their teammates. It's a fine line being competitive enough to want to win, but laid back enough not to be verbal about your frustrations when your team is, well, mediocre.

I don't think Kobe is hating on his team anymore. With the Lakers poised to make a run at the title, he seems to be much happier. He can thank Gasol and Bynum for that.
