watched some of the hearing.

when will congress go after rap stars like 50 cent and pro wrestlers? I know mlb is a public trust, but this is sort of grandstanding IMO.

there will be a day when growth hormones and steroids are undectectable. what to do then?

I played with guys that never lifted but where RIPPED. The steel curtain is suspected of having built their dnasty on the early use of steroids. MANY illnesses and premature deaths from those teams.

IMO most fans really would not care if the media did not harp on it. You KNOW the media knew players took speed. KNEW It.

I honesty dislike the 'new' media. most sports writers could work for TMC or access hollywood rather than call themselves journalists.

After yesterday's appearance before Congress, I think there is little doubt that Clemons was using drugs. His testimony yesterday stating that he never did is going to come back to haunt him and quite possibly but him behind bars. For his own good, he should have kept his mouth shut.

It's a sad thing to see so many greats (or potential greats) outed in this way. Maybe they should just come clean and at least save themselves a bit of dignity and respect.

I just hope that more stringent testing is put in place in the future.

I agree that it is very sad to see such people go down in a blaze of ridicule. Some of these guys were my hero in childhood. I suppose that it must be tough to not do, if everyone seemed to be doing it. I understand that major league players are always looking for ways to get the edge in competition. I understand that you are expected to perform at a certain level. But I still think that it ruins the integrity of the game. Thus I find it inexcusable.

Let us wait for the result, we can't throw judgement at this stage, it should be based on strong proof, let's hope for the best.

I myself find a problem even with nutritional supplements. I just don't understand why people can't try their best to do it the natural way by eating healthy and according to their workout plan.
